From Our Executive Director
With a successful 2021 in our rearview mirror, we’re looking forward to an even more successful 2022 serving our nations’ first responders. There are a number of ways that we were able to reach the needs of our nation’s First Responders in 2021. Our first ever canine therapy funding kicked off with Sadie and Marley, new support animals at the San Francisco Fire Department! We reached over 523 First Responders in 2021 by introducing them to vital Peer Support classes that are a very important step in changing the path of our departments nationwide. Thanks to your generous donations, we were also able to provide over 100 hours of personalized one-on-one therapy for First Responders in crisis. We partnered with DoTerra, Xtreme Pizza and Insight Timer to give away hundreds of care packages, food, and meditation memberships to our First Responders. We outfitted Fire Stations to replace 60-year-old mattresses, and partnered with hotel chains to provide a discount to our First Responders that simply needed a well-deserved break. Helping those that help us doesn’t come in one form, and we are proud to attack this mental health epidemic from as many angles as possible.
Our #1 goal for 2022 is to fund the same number of courses and trainings that we did in 2021 and increase it by 50%! Our hope is that you will join us in this fight.
